P 300 Title: Anatomical limitations of optic disc contour digital image processing technique: Information loss study in brightness measurements (vascular area)

چکیده
Purpose: ‘This study describes hemodynamic characteristics of the retrobulbar circulation in ten eyes with acute anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (AION), in order to better understand Ihe natural history of this disease. Methods: Color Doppler imaging was used to measure the peak systolic blood flow velocities and vascular resistance (resistive index) within the central retinal, ophtalmic, and posterior ciiiary arteries (PCA;I in two eyes with arteritic AION and eight eyes with non arteritic AION. Resulrs: In all cases, blood flow was detected in medial and lateral IPCA.There was a trend toward higher vascular resistance in the PCA of involved eyes compared with fellow eyes in non arteritic AION. In arteritic AION, central retinal and posterior ciliary artery vascular resistance was increased in both eyt?s compared with healthy eyer. Conclusion: CD1 provides velocimetric measurements of blood flow in the central retinal and posterior ciliary arteries, as produced by others authors, particularly in AION. IACHKAR Y. COHN Il. Morphological Exudate Detection in Retinal Images using PCA-based Optic Disc Removal
Diabetic retinopathy lesion detection such as exudate in fundus image of retina can lead to early diagnosis of the disease. Retinal image includes dark areas such as main blood vessels and retinal tissue and also bright areas such as optic disk, optical fibers and lesions e.g. exudate. In this paper, a multistage algorithm for the detection of exudate in foreground is proposed. The algorithm se...

Introduction: Glaucoma is the most common cause of blindness in some countries. In the meantime, the field of retinal image processing has been proposed in order to provide automatic systems for disease diagnosis. Among the methods of medical image processing, image segmentation is a process of identification and change in the display of an image. The objective of this study was to use t...

متن کاملOptic Disc Segmentation Based On Watershed Transform
The retinal fundus photograph is widely used in the diagnosis and treatment of various eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma. Medical image analysis and processing has great significance in the field of medicine. Segmentation in eye imaging provides an important role for calculating the geometric shape and size of optic disc and anterior segment and abnormal growth of any regio...
متن کاملDetection of Coastline Using Satellite Image-Processing Technique
Extended abstract 1- Introduction Coasts maintain their natural sustainability without human intervention and in spite of short-term changes, we are ultimately confronted with a coastal healthy environment, i.e. natural, rocky beaches, sandy beaches and so on. Today's use of remote sensing in most natural sciences is widespread. Due to the fact that fieldwork is costly and time-consuming, ...
